<p>In 2008, the NEWB issued Guidelines for schools to use to review and update their codes of behaviour; there is a two-year time limit for this to be completed. Over three nights, Steve will deliver a presentation to introduce participants to these Guidelines and to brief them on their implications, so as to equip them to participate effectively in the review and re-drafting process.</p>

<p><strong>Web 2.0 for Learning Course</strong><strong><br />
</strong>This course consists of three modules based on using Web 2.0 in an educational context. Each module has been designed to be of 2.5 hours in duration.<strong><br />
</strong>These modules are aimed at primary and post primary teachers who are interested in integrating Web 2.0 technologies into learning and teaching.<strong><br />
</strong>There are three modules in total:     Introduction to Web 2.0 Tools, introduction to Blogging, introduction to Podcasting. These introductory modules are suitable for both primary and post primary teachers who wish to extend their capacity to use a range of Web 2.0 tools in support of learning and teaching in the classroom environment. This is not a beginner&#8217;s course. Participants should be familiar with uploading and downloading files and be comfortable with basic ICT tasks (opening, editing, saving, closing files, etc). They should have some experience of browsing the Internet and be familiar with using e-mail. All participants much have access to a laptop.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[A very successful function was held recently in the Ard Rí House Hotel, to celebrate the retirement from teaching of Pat Gilmore and Billy Hannon, two long standing embers of Tuam Education Centre Management Committee. We wish them both a very long and happy retirement.]]></description>
